The focus of this theme is the contrast between past and present, east and west, contemporary and classic.
Connection Point is an acknowledgement of these diverse reference points. It is neither about slavish reproduction of the past, nor classical revival. Seeks to re-establish a sense of grace and beauty in a world that has become more standardised.
The palette consists of historically and culturally diverse shades. True architectural neutrals are balanced by the warm mid-tones found on western historic textiles or porcelain. The more saturated deeps are reminiscent of eastern enamelware and lacquer. The overall effect is rich but innovative.
